In our Performance Review for Far Cry 5, we found that the game didn't use much more than 4GB of VRAM when playing at 4K Ultra settings, leaving a lot of the potential of modern 4K-ready graphics hardware untapped. Patch 1.11 also addressesВ several bugs within Far Cry 5, which will address stability issues within some game modes, while also allowing the game'sВ 'Hope County Master Angler' Trophy/Achievement to unlock correctly.

At this time the visual impact of Far Cry 5's new HD texture pack is unknown. Someone will obviously assume that he is good to go (as the RTX3080 has 10GB of VRAM). With the HD Texture Pack, the in-game VRAM bar indicates that the game needs 7-8GB of VRAM in 4K/Ultra on an RTX3080.
